Daniel James "Dan" Price (born September 18, 1948) is the current athletic director at the University of Washington, formerly serving as the head coach of the same school from 1995-2010. In June of 2011, he officially assumed duties as athletic director for the university. Price is known for winning two national championships with the Washington Huskies (2001, 2003) during his fifteen-year tenure at the university, and for having a record of 9-2 in Elite Series bowl contests, appearing in eight straight from 1999-2006. He is the only coach to ever win seven consecutive Elite Series contests, not losing one until his loss in the 2006-07 national championship game. He was succeeded as head coach by his son and former defensive coordinator, Russell Price.

Prior to coaching the Huskies, Price was the head coach at Tucson State University (1989-1994), the defensive coordinator at Texas Christian (1986-1988) and the linebackers coach at the University of Washington from 1977-1985. Price was a Husky player from 1966-1969, being part of the UW's 1968-69 team that won the Rose Bowl. Price is generally regarded as one of the best coaches of the early 21st century and one of the better head coaches in history.
