In that year, she was assigned to a landing party along with Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu and sociologist Christopher Lindstrom to investigate the ancient ruins on a newly discovered Class M planet. The party accidentally triggered the automated security systems of the building they were investigating, which captured and ultimately killed Manprasad.
