  • Anti-gravity is a technology used in various different applications in the Metroid Series. Anti-gravity allows an object to float or in some cases, fly, defying the gravitational effects of that planet or other locations have on matter. Anti-gravity is different to cases where a method of propulsion (such as a rocket boosters) allow subjects to fly or leave the ground. It instead achieves this a different way, with no apparent means of propulsion. Various allusions and references to anti-gravity have been made throughout the series, but the actual mechanics involved in creating a state of anti-gravity is unknown.
  • Tina is able to remove gravity from her surrounding area at will. Everything in the area then lifts up as there is no gravity holding them to the ground. However Tina is still capable of staying on the ground whilst activating the ability, meaning she can defy her ability. When using the ability she can choose from which area she wishes to remove the force of gravity and she can also return the force of gravity back whenever she wishes. Tina most likely has this ability due to her grandfather possessing the ability to manipulate gravity.
  • Anti-Gravity is a UK store that sells yo-yos, other skill toys, and power kites. Its yo-yo range only contains relatively old stock such as old Yomega models and Team Losi yo-yos.
  • Anti-gravity, also sometimes referred to as antigrav, is a general term that describes the (as-of-yet impossible) practice of making a heavier-than-air object levitate in earth-atmosphere, thus allowing other forces (typically jet-propulsion) to move the object around freely in any direction or axis. Unlike traditional jumpjets or VTOL technologies which work by overcoming the weight of an object by forcing disproportionate energy in the opposite direction, antigrav is typically theorized to work by neutralizing weight, and/or gravity, either via means of some kind of harnessed energy, or process.
  • Protoss possess anti-gravity technology. They are used by aerospace craft to keep them airborne within planetary atmospheres. Examples include the gravitic drive of the shuttle, and the gravitic booster of the observer. Both are combined with repulser technology to increase vehicle speed.
  • Anti-gravity, also known as anti-grav, was the process of creating objects free from or releasing objects from the force of gravity.
  • The anti-gravity mechanic makes its debut in Mario Kart 8. It allows players to travel on vertical surfaces and even upside-down. When players pass blue panels on the track, the feature is enabled. The player's wheels turn sideways and the vehicle will levitate, allowing them to use the feature. Players can also bump into each other to gain a speed boost. The feature is used heavily, in almost every course in the game. The wheels also turn orange when the drift sparks turns orange.
  • The cloud city Stratos was built, by the Ardanans, above the surface of the planet Ardana, centuries prior to 2269. The city was described by Spock as "the finest example of sustained anti-gravity elevation [he had] ever seen." (TOS: "The Cloud Minders" ) During the 23rd and 24th centuries, the Federation employed anti-gravs and later anti-grav sleds to assist in the moving of large or bulky items. (TOS: "The Changeling" ; TNG: "Hollow Pursuits" , et al.)

Sometimes, you will be driving on two wheels while Drifting. This only works on ATVs and Karts with four wheels that are apart from each other (an example is the Mach 8).
