Kouda Montoya is the loner of the Golden Heart DigiDestined and the Golden Heart Army. His parents, Richard Timura and Shihomi Montoya, divorced when he was a newborn baby, not letting him know about his older twin brother, Riku Timura. His mother works as a computer factory boss. He only learned about Riku when he met him in the Digital World. Kouda was walking alone in a city until he got a phone call from Azulongmon, and takes him to the Digital World, where he met Terriermon. His dream is to become a businessman. Even though Kouda doesn't care about his friends very much, but he usually talks to Ria Takeuchi, as she sees his as her best friend. He seemed to dislike Yuuki Rukimoto at first, but later sees him as a helpful ally. Kouda is often compared to Koji Minamoto from Frontier.
