Abdullah Ahmed Al-Adel was a terrorist operative, wanted by the Israeli government. When George Mason caught Jack Bauer and Nina Myers arriving at CTU Los Angeles after a night out together, Myers deflected his sarcastic remarks by claiming the two of them were following a lead on one of Al-Adel's associates. At the time of the House Special Subcommittee's investigation into the Drazen family's vendetta against Bauer and Senator David Palmer, Al-Adel was one of eleven prisoners being held in secret in the Department of Defense's Mobile Underground Detention and Detainment network.

In testimony, Lieutant Colonel Kevin Newton of the DIA's Special Unit for Counterintelligence Initiatives provided Al-Adel's name to the Subcommittee, along with Irish Republican Army soldier Liam O'Shea and Japanese bioterrorist Ichiro Nakada. Chairman Jayce Fulbright was stunned, claiming the Israelis would be furious if they ever found out. (Findings at CTU)
