Darth Necrus struggled to open his eyes. The searing, fiery pain of 1000 volts of electricity burned through him like an automatic drill. Hate filled Necrus's mind, making the invisible pain even worse. Curse that Jedi! Necrus thought. I had him at blade length, at my mercy. But that blasted, saber-wielding mound of bantha droppings that called himself a Jedi defeated me! Impossible!!! "That Darth Necrus must've called for backup while we were in the asteroid field earlier!" Thought Kanato. "Yes, Commander Lectriso." Lectriso anxiously stalked off to the hangar bay.

  • Darth Necrus struggled to open his eyes. Necrus tried to scream in agony but his mind could not could not cope and he began to drift back into unconsciousness. He reached out a gloved hand and began to crawl across the slab of rock. Each agonizing second his life drifted away. Necrus wasn't worried about his starfighter or his health, as long as he survived. It was all about revenge. Fury and rage welled up inside of him, and yellow eyes gleamed with anger. Though, none of those things could happen before he did something else. And that something else was to live. Lectriso was on his way, but it would be a while before he landed He didn't even know Necrus was in trouble. And in the meantime, Darth Necrus, Lord of the Sith, former Viscount of Vjun and ruler of Korriban, was dying. In most cases after the sudden clashed blades and the extremely close escape that Rindall faced, an individual would feel very relieved or maybe even faint; though Jedi Master Kanato Rindall did not face any of those symptoms. Actually he couldn't help feeling a small pang of sympathy for the Sith. But then again, that so-called "Darth Necrus" had killed his Padawan and attempted to kill him. Suddenly, Kanato realized that he was once again in the middle of the asteroid field. And once again, someone was firing upon him. But this time it was not Darth Necrus. That same large black cruiser from earlier dominated the stars, and it seemed intent on blasting Kanato into space dust. "That Darth Necrus must've called for backup while we were in the asteroid field earlier!" Thought Kanato. The sympathy left him as he dodged the thick blasts of lethal laser energy emitted from the cruiser ahead. Kanato's mind reflected back to how it would be if his Padawan was here. Olen Ettil. The name echoed and reverberated through his head like a church bell. Dragging his head back to the present, Kanato fired some proton torpedoes of his own. They struck the massive black cruiser across the hull, but it didn't do much damage - the shields absorbed the would-be-critical hit. Best just to flee. Thought Kanato. I'll just jump to hyperspace, and before they realize I'm not here, I'll be nearing Coruscant. Exiting the asteroid field, Kanato programmed the coordinates to Coruscant. With a surge of speed, Necrus's former starfighter jumped to the whirling light of hyperspace. Lectriso was furious. He had nearly blasted that Jedi into space dust, but the Jedi had escaped. Thoughts and problems buzzed inside Lectriso's head like a swarm of bees with no honey. Necrus was nowhere to been seen. Lectriso was Force-sensitive, but nowhere near as powerful as his master - partially due to the fact that his arms, legs, lower torso, and the outside of his neck were all mechanical. Lectriso could not sense Darth Necrus in the Force. That was bad, because it either meant that Lectriso was terribly weak, Necrus was dead or unconscious, or Necrus had cloaked himself, rendering him invisible to the Force. What added to his worry was that the Jedi had left the planet in Necrus's fighter. Alone. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together. Necrus missing + Jedi alone + Lectriso can't sense him = Necrus dead or unconscious. Suddenly, Lectriso felt a faint flicker in the Force - Necrus was alive! "Captain! Send squads three, eight, five, nine and seven down to the planet to search for Lord Necrus. Release a squadron of Sith starfighters into the asteroid field to search there too. And prepare the Sith Elite squad to come with me." "Yes, Commander Lectriso." Lectriso anxiously stalked off to the hangar bay.
