This title is also known as Prince Mackaroo, as shown on the program guide for TV Japan. It received an Excellence Award for animation at the 1999 Japan Media Arts Festival. On September 10, 2006, creator Rin Inumaru committed suicide by jumping off the 14th floor of her apartment. A suicide note left to her mother indicated she was feeling stress due to her job.
