| - Flash Thompson was born to Harrison and Rosie Thompson. Harrison back in his high school days was the star of Midtown High. He was extremely popular, and was the star athlete. Rosie was a cheerleader and his high school sweetheart. After high school Harrison eventually joined the army. Flash was eventually born, and when he was a young child his father died while serving. When Flash reached high school he worked hard to live up to his father's reputation. He lived a harder life without his father, and while Rosie tried her best she became an alcoholic and had a hard time carrying a job. To try and make himself feel better he would belittle those around him such as Peter Parker and his friend Maxwell Dillon. He was friends with the other popular kids at school including Harry Osborn, Kenny Kong, Doug Riceman, Gwen Stacy, and Liz Allan.
One day he was eventually dared by one of his friends to enter an open contest where anyone could try and take down the Russian wrestling champion Aleksei "The Rhino" Sytsevich for a chance to win a large some of money. For fun Flash and some of his friends joined in, all being taken down with ease. As Flash was licking his wounds he saw Spider-Man enter the ring, and was amazed by how easily he took down Aleksei. Outside the stadium he met his girlfriend Liz when he saw a man running out with a bag slung over his shoulder. The man's name being Eddie Brock. Knowing it was a robber Flash decided to try and be a hero and went after him around a corner, where he didn't know that the thief had two cohorts waiting. Flash got into a fight with them until eventually one of the thugs named Cletus pulled a gun on him, but was stopped by an old man who stepped into the fight. He stood in the thugs' way and told Flash to run, and he complied. He tried to get help, but came back too late as the thugs were gone and his savior shot dead. He was eventually shocked to find out it was Peter's Uncle Ben. Ashamed of his arrogance and getting Ben killed Flash left the scene before he could be interviewed.
When Spider-Man showed up he become one of his most ardenent supporters. Thinking of him as a true courageous hero like his father, and the man who rescued him. And the kind of man he wished he could be.
Eventually his bullying goes too far when he and the others play a prank on Maxwell Dillon, and through a terrible chain of events accidentally leads to some of his goons turning him into the supervillain Electro by accident. Electro attacks Flash and the others at a school football game where through the combined efforts of Spider-Man and Harry Osborn he is stopped. Afterwards Peter confronted Flash about what happened. Flash was enraged by this and prepared to attack Peter but Harry got in his way to defend him. Harry had had enough of that life, blaming himself and the others for what happened to Dillon. It was then that the two broke off their relationship, with Peter and Harry eventually building a strong friendship. Deep down Flash, like Harry, felt guilty about what had happened to Max and eventually began abusing alcohol and for a while began rethinking his life. After graduating high school he went to college, but early on dropped out and joined the military. Hoping to live up to his father, as well as make amends to himself. During his service time he met and befriended a fellow soldier named Luther Manning, serving under Major Simon Ryker. They met when Luther saved him during combat on their first mission. During one of the missions however Luther and some of the other soldiers were captured. Flash enraged rushed headlong into battle to free his captured comrades. He managed to free some of them but Luther got caught in the blast of a concussion mine and was critically injured. Flash fought valiantly but was eventually captured, imprisoned, and tortured. He was eventually rescued months later was liberated, but honorably discharged to receive psychiatric help back stateside. It was there that he met Sha Shan who serves as his psychiatrist who helps him deal with the trauma he experienced. Flash eventually comes to fall in love with her.
When Peter first got the black suit he gave a piece of it to Dr. Curt Connors to analyze. To make a living Flash takes work as a security guard at Connors' lab at Empire State University. Connors decided to try and come up with an antigen for symbiotes by splicing the symbiote sample with human white blood cells. Eventually Venom with his symbiote gang attacked the lab looking for Spider-Man. Spider-Man got caught up in the fight, but was unable to reach the antigen. Flash saw what was going on and decided to try helping his old hero, at which point some of Spidey's allies managed to arrive to help in the fight. He managed to reach Dr. Connors who told him about the antigen and Flash attempted to bring it to Spider-Man but when got in eye range of him saw that Spidey was pinned by Venom so Flash smashed the container at his feet and the new costume covered him. He then rescued Spider-Man by confronting Venom and managed to stop him with ease because of his suit's ability to harm the symbiotes on contact and thus manages to drive them off. Afterwards Spider-Man goes to him to thank him, surprised to learn it was his old high school rival. Flash even more surprised to discover that "Puny Parker" was his idol all this time. The two then forged an alliance that would endure for a long time, and also lead to the two finally putting aside their differences and eventually even becoming friends. Flash decided to accept becoming a vigilante through Peter's advice as the suit had permanently bonded itself to him. Because of suit's powers in relation to the symbiot's he donned the name Anti-Venom.

| - White Symbiotic Costume: This new white symbiote seems to not only be different in appearance and abilities from the original, but even acts completely different from the original symbiote it evolved from. For instance, Flash Thompson refers to himself in first person as Anti-Venom, and is in complete control of his actions. This relationship is somewhat similar to Cletus Kasady's and the Carnage symbiote: Both symbiotes are bonded to their hosts at the cellular level and seem to compliment the user's personality However the white symbiote, unlike the other members of its race, seemingly has no influence on Flash's actions.
* External Symbiote Rejection: Flash's skin is caustic to the original symbiote, which means the white symbiote has the ability to reject the natural symbiotes.
* Constituent-Matter Manipulation: Anti-Venom can manipulate his matter to enlarge or stretch his body in order to augment his attacks.
* Impurity Sense: Anti-Venom can sense foreign substances within a person's body which includes symbiotes, radiation, narcotics, viruses and diseases.
* Internal Bodily Cleansing: After sensing the impurity, Anti-Venom can forcefully "cure" the substance from the person's body. He uses this ability to almost completely destroy his old symbiote and to cure a young girl from her heroin addiction. This power can also be used to depower some superhumans.
*Shapeshifting: Anti-Venom now can shapeshift his arms into blades.
* Fire immunity: In contrast to the other symbiotes, Anti-Venom is immune to fire and extreme heat.
* Sonic immunity: Besides immunity to fire and heat, Anti-Venom also shows strong resistance against sonic-based attacks.
