The Flatlands is the name given to a wide, open steppe land that extends between Old Allansia and the eastern reaches of the Allansian Continent. It is home to many tribes of nomadic mounted barbarians. The Nomadic barbarians are dangerous enemies but while they continue to fight amongst themselves they will remain a harmless foe. Throughout history they have attempted to launch an assault on the numerous towers of the Trolltooth Pass, and each time Salamonis has protected the west.

The Flatlands are usually generated with alpha chunks and beta chunks, but also have chunks generated by more recent versions. Despite their name, Flatlands usually have normal Minecraft terrain. It is very common to find abandoned bases in the Flatlands. While these ruins do not usually contain anything extremely valuable, they usually may contain items that could be useful to players who have escaped spawn. It is not advised to set up a long-term base in the Flatlands due to it being somewhat close to spawn.
