The 1966 Old Dominion 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on September 25, 1966. Fred Lorenzen dominated the latter stages of the race, leading 172 of the 500 laps in route to a five-lap victory on Darel Dieringer.
