The Pixl will allow Mario and crew to blow certain areas up, giving them access to previously inaccessible areas. There are also a few enemies that can't be destroyed without using Boomer.

- Boomer is a character in the Super Mario series. He first appeared in Super Paper Mario. He is the third Pixl in the game. His counterparts in other Paper Mario games are Bombette in Paper Mario, Admiral Bobbery in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and the Bomb Sticker in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Players have to press one for him to become a bomb, and one again for him to explode. He will explode automaticly after a few seconds if one is not pressed. He is found in World 2.

Boomer will also blow up on his own eventually. Boomer is also able to defeat enemies from a distance. His name, along with Slim's, was announced at GDC 2007.
