Lala watches her favorite show, "Magical Girl Kyoko." Before the show is over, she has to leave because of school. When Rito gets to his desk, he finds a letter. Thinking it's a love letter, he dashes out of the room and reads it's contents. It turns out to be an invitation that sucks Rito into an alternate universe. In a matter of seconds, Yui drops from about and lands on him. They both find out that they are in a physical experience RPG and that the only way to return to the real world is to beat the game. As soon as they figure out where they are, an enemy appears that attacks Rito, but Rito easily defeats it. Yui then finds a town and the two teenagers go to it.
