Clark Bent is a news reporter from Smallzone, the Zone with the lowest population on Mobius. Reporting for Smallzone TV News, Bent is on location to witness the annual folk-rolling contest, won by (as usual) Grasstain O'Grady, the only contestant. Following this story is news about a skateboarding cactus and a parrot that can speak Italian. Frustrated by the minor news stories, Bent wishes he could report on Badnik attacks, but is reminded that Smallzone is too insignificant to attack.

On the television, he witnesses a dinosaur-like creature tearing the roofs off houses and heads there in a hurry, hoping to keep Smallzone on the map. One fast flight later, Tails attempts to keep everyone calm but is cruelly brushed aside in the mob. The fox asserts his presence, asking where the monster is. The citizens reveal they haven't actually seen the monster, only the news reports.
