| - Highways are large main roads with four or more total lanes, encircling or connecting cities in various Grand Theft Auto games.
- Highways is the 61st level in Chip's Challenge Level Pack 1. It was created by Rosabellis.
- Highways are incredibly useful ways of transporting goods across the United States. Though many are over sixty, or seventy years old, the infrastructure remains solid. With the proliferation of highways, we now have easier commerce between states. The effects of a zombie apocalypse would change these highways in profound ways that would make them nearly useless.
- The Highway is the vertical bar where the notes appear. The highways have intricate designs on them. From Guitar Hero to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, each character had their own custom highway that could not be changed. From Guitar Hero World Tour onward, characters had one of a variety of preset highways representing a particular genre of music. These could be changed in the character creator by giving them customized guitars, basses, or drum kits. Also, the unlockable real-world musicians have their own custom fret boards(NOTE: on the Wii version, these highways are only available when playing that character's songs in Quick Play mode, and playing as those characters in Career Mode will give that character one of the default highways.)
- They become particularly relevant in the large-scale multiple-city games Need for Speed: Undercover and Need for Speed: World. Highways are interconnected and provide smooth transitions from one region of the map to another whilst allowing players to maintain a high speed without slowing down or stopping. Some highways are limited in their effectiveness by the intersecting connections made with alternate roads and their geographical location.

The following is a list of these highways and a brief description of them arranged in no particular order. (NOTE: in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, the highways have no designs and are always pitch-black.)

Some highways are limited in their effectiveness by the intersecting connections made with alternate roads and their geographical location. Main local arteries are generally easier and more direct for in-city travel although highways can be quicker for inter-city travel. Most highways can be particularly useful under certain circumstances such as police pursuits.
