This show ran for seven years, from 1987 until 1994, and spawned five spinoff films. Starting in 1990, there was a spinoff series called Star Trek: U.S.S. Oberon, which ran for eight seasons until 1998, when it was cancelled with a cliffhanger, a film was produced in 2000 to conclude the story arc, where the Oberon crew meet the crew of the Next Generation. In 1993, another spinoff, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine debuted, the series ran from 1993 to 1999, and yet another spinoff, Star Trek: Voyager debuted in 1995, which ran until 2001.In 2001, there was an additional spinoff series starring called Enterprise, set prior to The Original Series, which ran until 2009. Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise never spawned movies.In 2009, a reboot film featuring the cast of the original series was made, starring Nick Stahl as Kirk, Aaron Eckhart as Pike and Zachery Quinto as Spock.
