Martin Walsingham held the party leadership for only 5 years, but during these 5 years the party would sink into its first true crisis. Walsingham abandoned the Trotskyist course laid out by his predecessors and caused the party to slip into a deep electoral mess. This would later be dubbed Walsingham's Disaster. He died on October 27, 2541.
