Trivia
| - * The story title "Citizen Jan" is a reference to the 1941 Orson Welles film Citizen Kane. The movie was loosely based on the life of media magnate William Randolph Hearst. Ironically, Hearst makes a guest appearance in this issue.

Notes
| - * The events from "Citizen Jan" take place after the events of the three-issue 1988 Blackhawk limited series.
* Earliest chronological appearance of Janos Prohaska. Prohaska's origin as presented in this issue, differs greatly from the one originally presented in Military Comics #1.
* First Post-Crisis references to former Blackhawk pilots Boris Zinoviev, Ian Holcomb-Baker and Kazimierc "Zeg" Zegota-Januszajtis. In Golden Age continuity, these pilots were referred to only as Boris, Baker and Zeg. Baker made his first appearance in Military Comics #1. Boris and Zeg made their first appearance in Military Comics #2.
* In Golden Age continuity, Wolfgang Teppel was known as Captain Von Tepp.
