It was surveyed and charted by several expeditions in approximately 229 BBY; sometime between then and 89 BBY, Zonama Sekot arrived in the Rift and settled in orbit around a yellow dwarf star in a "triple star system" of a hidden region at the far spinward and galactic north side of the Rift. Jedi Master Vergere first discovered the living planet during her mission there.
