The FIA sent an ultimatum to the track owners to repair the track by January 2007. When the time arrived, repairs hadn't been completed yet and, as a result, the 2007 WTCC event was canceled. The annual 24 Hours of Mexico race is held at the track since 2006. The oval track is used twice a year by the NASCAR Corona Series and T4 Series.
