William IV and III (1697-1749) was King of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1715, and stadtholder of 5 of the 7 provinces of the Netherlands from 1702, and stadtholder of the other 2 from 1711. After 1711, he was generally referred to as "Stadtholder of the Netherlands", a title formalized in 1732. He died in 1749 from the flu. William IV had 4 children: * Anne (1728-1780) * Mary (1730-1772) * William V and IV (1735-1756) * Henry IX and I (1748-1792)
