Daniel's Journal was a captains log of the thoughts and events that transpired throughout the EM-DE (aka, Egrigori Multi-Dimension Expedition). It keeps track of Azazel’s Ruby Kilsein as it goes through it's expedition. The events within it are through the eyes of Daniel, as he sees them happen. The journal also contains his thoughts on various happenings and realms they arrive at. It is found by Professor Noah Darling, a teacher at Chronos Academy, after finding it he begins reading it.

Daniel used the journal in "There's No Place Like Home, Part 1". Caesar later found a photocopy of one of the pages of the journal in a folder of assorted maps and notes in Ben's office at the Hydra facility.
