A Missile Blocker (as named in game files) is a life form found within the Bryyonian and Elysian Leviathans in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. They have a central biological core that is a brilliant glowing blue, and have several "veins" that attach them to the walls and appear to have currents flowing through them. They grow only in the tunnels leading to the core of the Leviathan, and they block Samus' path. They can damage Samus on contact, and require either five Ice Missiles or three Charge Beam shots to be removed. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Premiere Edition refers to them as "barricades".

They can grow a large, star-shaped bony structure in order to protect themselves, which can only be removed by use of the Seeker Missile to destroy its 5 weak spots. A different creature, Tentacle, blocks the path to the core chamber on the Pirate Homeworld Seed, and it requires a combination of the Nova Beam and X-Ray Visor to remove it. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Premiere Edition refers to them as "barricades".
