Artist: Spike Jones & Thurl Ravenscroft Song Notes: I was in an independent CD shop around Christmas, and they had this album sitting in the comedy section – Spike Jones In Stereo: A Spooktacular in Screaming Sound! Of course, it was in my greedy little possession a few moments later, and more than worth the purchase price. It’s not Spike’s best or most even album, by a far shot – but it was one of his last projects, and I think it showed that he still had a lot of life left in him despite rock’s best efforts to leave his tunes in the dust. This is one of the finest moments, and not a small amount of the success is due to Ravenscroft’s performance of the vocals. - RobotMonster
