Una tercera temporada se emitió del 3 de marzo de 1984 al 28 de septiembre de 1985 contado con 50 episodios. Una cuarta temporada saldrá en abril de 2015.
- Lupin III (ルパン三世, Rupan Sansei), also known as Lupin the 3rd, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kazuhiko Kato under the pen name of Monkey Punch. The story follows the adventures of a gang of thieves led by Arsène Lupin III, the grandson of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief of Maurice Leblanc's series of novels. Lupin and his gang travel throughout the world to steal treasures and escape from the law.
- Arsène Lupin III is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series, Lupin III and of Miyazaki's film, The Castle of Cagliostro. In Monkey Punch's original manga, Lupin is cocky, quite crude, and for the most part remorseless. He is very much the ladies' man, often using them for his own gains, but is not beyond forcing himself upon women who resist him. This is in stark contrast to his better-known anime self, who despite being a skilled thief, comes off as a goofball and will go to great lengths to right injustice, who also shows a chivalrous streak that compels him to help those less fortunate than he. - Lupin O'Mariuolo è un noto ladro nippo-franco-napoletano di autoradio, conosciuto anche come "Arsenico e vecchi merletti" o come "Lupin Terzo" per essersi piazzato terzo al torneo di scopone scientifico della sua parrocchia per cinque anni di fila. Dopo essersi ridotto a rubare una Fiat Duna parcheggiata davanti a un supermercato fu notato dal noto mangaka Monkey Punch, che colpito dal fatto che ci fossero ancora in giro ladri con il coraggio di rubare una Duna decise di raccontare le sue avventure in un fumetto prima e in tre serie a cartoni animati poi, con un'infinità di film e special TV. Il nome Monkey Punch deriva dal suo stile di disegno, molto simile a quello dello scimpanzé Jimmy che, accortosi del plagio, gli tirò un pugno dritto sul naso.
