Bleeding causes damage every 20 seconds, and is listed in the combat chat window as an orange line. Fire damage is also listed in orange.
- A servant girl shuffles into the room -- the one that had announced Thayndor's presence yesterday. "Milady," she says meekly. "That man who came yesterday. Who you had soup with. He's coming again." She puts knuckles to her mouth. "This time he looks serious." Sahna looks up from her position at the table-- Unlike the light mood of yesterday, she looks exhausted. A teaset, almost untouched, and dinner, completely untouched, are set out before her. She looks up at her servant with a dull look of disinterest, then stares down at the now-cold stew. - Bleeding, or hemorrhage results from damage to blood vessels either from a cut or blunt force trauma. However, infection and other diseases (e.g. Ebola virus) can also result in the breaking of blood vessels. Although minor bleeding usually resolves itself, severe bleeding can kill a patient in minutes. A patient who is bleeding is also subject to infection as bacteria that are usually blocked by the skin such as Staphylococcus and gangrene gain access to the blood stream. As such, it is important to treat the wound with an antiseptic and to use sterile dressings.
