| - Galactic Defense Order 101 was a top-secret contingency order in which a chain of 1000 thermonuclear warheads, which had been secretly buried, under Coruscant would be detonated, destroying the planet to prevent the enemy from totally conquering the galaxy. The order would only be activated as the final option, when the conquest of Coruscant was imminent, to stop an enemy conquering the galaxy via the conquest of the capital. The order was meant to destroy the center of the galactic federation and of galactic politics, so the ability to totally control the whole galaxy would be pretty much impossible. Because of the insurmountable amount of civilian deaths which would occur because of the order the order was kept top-secret and was only known by the high-ranking members of the senate. Although most senators had heard rumors about the Supreme Chancellor having the ability to destroy the galactic capital they dismissed them as just that, rumors. It was not until the Supreme Chancellor Janar Nadoya announced to the senate that the Senatorial Executive board had agreed to execute the order and destroy the world if the GFSSN lost the Space Battle over Cato Neimoidia, which was currently raging, that they found out the Supreme Chancellor truly did have the ability to destroy Coruscant. In the entire history of the GFSS only once has the order been close to being activated, during the Space Battle over Cato Neimoidia during the Purse Worlds Campaign of 1000 ABY, the Senate had decided to activate the order if the GFSSN was defeated in the battle, making the N'Akkiarlians once-again invincible. Fortunately the GFSSN just managed to win the battle and the Supreme Chancellor and the Senatorial Executive board repealed their decision to execute it. After the war the Senators were angry at the way the highest members of the senate had the ability to kill them all and yet they didn't even know about it. They demanded that the order be modified to be less high-security (though secure enough so only members of the senate had knowledge of it) and that all senators got to vote on whether the order be executed. Initially Janar resisted, citing that it would be bad for galactic security, though after time to think about what they were asking (and a little persuasion) he backed down to the Senate's demands and modified the order. ORDER 101: If Coruscant is under threat from being conquered then the Senate has the authority to detonate the planet to prevent an enemy of the state from taking control of the center of galactic politics. This order may only be activated as a final option.—A brief description of Order 101 from the Manual of Galactic Defense Orders Order 101 is the order which sends a chill down the spine of every senator who hears the name of it. The thought of being able to kill 1 trillion people is disturbing to say the least.—Supreme Chancellor Janar Nadoya on Order 101
