Synopsis
| - The rise of Eclipso is felt far and wide: on Talok VIII, a shadow-trance takes over the entire population; on Earth, the planet shakes in response to the villain splitting the Moon in twain.
On the Moon itself, the Justice League enacts a final plan to stop Eclipso. With the aid of Saint Walker and Congorilla, a miniaturized Atom and Starman enter the Shade's brain in an attempt to undo Eclipso's subtle influence on this most powerful of shadow-wielders. The rest of the team undertakes a frontal assault, proclaiming loudly that they must free the ensnared angel Zauriel. In fact, Saint Walker has told them that Donna Troy somehow contains the "light" to defeat Eclipso, and the attack is intended only to maneuver the villain into one-on-one battle with Donna.
That plan succeeds, but Saint Walker's assurances seem hollow as Eclipso cuts Donna's magic lasso to ribbons with his black sword -- and then runs the heroine through.
