The Aztec Empire and the USA came to several disagreements regarding political reform and immigration during the conference, and for a short time many believed the long-time allies would declare a split. However, both nations soon reached agreements and their economic and military alliance, however damaged, remained intact. Over time the relationship between the two would heal and return to what it had been.
