The film begins with a history of how smoking became a habit once Columbus set foot in the New World. It then goes to Mr. George Geef (Goofy), a chain smoker who smokes in pretty much all his time. But as he starts to feel weak, Geef decides to quit and attempts to resist the urge to smoke. Soon, Geef snaps and runs around town in a desperate search for a smoke. After many failed attempts, he soon begs a man go give him something to smoke. The man obliges and gives Geef a cigar...which promptly explodes.
