The present has been put in a box, whose lid has been loosely wrapped in silver paper with small white polka dots on it. The lid also has a white ribbon crossed over the top, and a large red bow stuck in the middle. Because only the lid has been wrapped, it is possible for Natalie to lift it right off the box without having to go to the trouble of unwrapping it.

Inside the box, laid between layers of pink tissue paper, is black lingerie with lace trim. Natalie ostentatiously lifts and displays it for the staff to admire—but she clearly has reservations. It's not at all her style, even if she had someone to wear it for.
