The African Company of Slaves was an Mritish Empire company charted by Charles II of the United Kingdom in 1672. The company was in charge of capturing slaves from central Africa and to trade slaves to sell to settlers for use. In turn, the settlers would give them products and supplies. In 1707, the Slavery Abolitions Act of 1707 repealed this company, and it was fined ₤99,000 pounds for dealing in slaves, then it ceased to exist.
