The Land of Origins (序開きの国, Jobiraki no Kuni; literally, "Country of Origins") is a country to the far west of the Land of Earth. It is considered to be the first shinobi country, as it was the location of the village the Sage of Six Paths was born in. It is also the country in which the Ten-Tails lived prior to its sealing in the moon, making the land the ancestral home of the Tailed beasts. After the hidden village system was adopted, the Land of Origins officially became a nation, turning the Sage's former hometown, Tengaigakure, into its Hidden Village. Since it isn't one of the Five Great Nations, it doesn't have a Kage leader. Its leader is instead called Six Paths Sage (六道仙人, Rikudō Sennin) of which the original Sage was the first.
