The Fleet of Pleiades was one of the largest fleet assembled by the Covenant Navy after the reorganisation mandate issued by the High Council of the Covenant Empire. Prior to the events in the Hayling colonies, the Pleiades had just included three Illiria-class battleships, two Celeste-class carriers and many smaller warships and support vessels. Though considered small by Covenant standards, the Pleiades performed admirably during the Hayling Uprising, disabling and eliminating the Hayling efforts of resisting the Covenant Empire's control of the two systems.

In the Human-Covenant War in the Ninth Age of Reclamation, the fleet underwent its third reorganisation mandate, now led by the CSL Infinite Sacrifice under the command of the High Prophet of Regret. Following the death of the High Prophet of Regret, the fleet had its Sangheili commanding officers replaced by the Jiralhanae under the orders of the High Prophet of Truth.
