Prior to Mattel (The Parent company of Hot Wheels) acquiring Corgi Toys in the 1990s, this casting was called 'Daimler Fleetline' and was originally made in Great Britain by Corgi Toys Limited from the 1970s up to approximately 1990. When Hot Wheels got the rights they re-named it 'London Bus' but still says Daimler 'Fleetline' on the base.

When Hot Wheels got the rights they re-named it 'London Bus' but still says Daimler 'Fleetline' on the base. The Daimler Fleetline was a bus manufactured by Daimler in the UK from 1960 up to 1983. The Daimler Fleetline was sold in Great Britain and Hong Kong, with many of them being Purchased by the London Transit services since it's introduction. The Fleetline was also manufactured by British Leyland from 1975 onward. Like the real London buses, the Hotwheels casting has been made with advertising printed on the panels between the windows on the lower and upper decks.
