The Federal Security Bureau, or FSB, was a domestic security agency of the Russian Federation. The successor of the Soviet Union's KGB, the FSB was roughly the equivalent of the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation, investigating crimes against the state such as terrorism, treason, and the dealings of .
