Virginia (OTL Georgia, USA - named after the Virgin Mary) was claimed by Castille after they found their way to Atlantis in 1492 and administered as a part of the capitanate of Florida. When the Triple Monarchy of England-Castille-Portugal fell apart, France would move the border between its colony Caroline and Florida southward in 1629, taking all of Virginia. The situation changed again after the anti-French War in 1694, when the peace of Amsterdam gave Virginia back to Spain.
