- Tatem Games announced on their Facebook page on July 19, 2013 that they were adding Hyaenodon to the game in addition to Indricotherium in 5-7 days. It has been updated on November 26, 2013. In game, Hyaenodon is a dangerous and stealthy predator. It is very similar to the wolf : prowling around the land while snarling and occasionally howling for others of its kind. - Some species of this genus were among the largest terrestrial carnivorous mammals of their time; others were only of the size of a marten. Hyaenodon is one of the longest lived genera of Hyaenodontidae, and is known from the Late Eocene to Early Miocene. Remains of many species are known from North America, Europe, Asia and Africa (In 1993 42 species were distinguished).[4] Compared to the generally larger (but closely related) Hyainailouros, Hyaenodon dentition was geared more towards shearing meat and less towards bone-crushing.
