Lola is first seen when she is helping Hank with his dialog during a commercial shoot. The commercial's director, Bryan Singer, notes sarcastically that she, like everyone, wants to be the director. It turns out Lola is pregnant. When the doctors suggest that Hank needs a kidney transplant, Lola offers hers even though it means she will have to have an abortion. Hank objects and even tries to commit suicide to prevent the abortion and transplant.
