| - Bristol Rovers game against Hereford United at Edgar Street on 10 March 2009 was the thirty-fourth League One game of the season for Rovers, and their 37th in all competitions. The last meeting between the clubs had resulted in a rout, with Rovers winning 6–1. In recent games, Rovers had played an unchanged side the last three times out, but a change was forced on Paul Trollope for this match by captain Stuart Campbell being ill with 'flu. Craig Disley took Campbell's place in the starting lineup, while Sean Rigg took Disley's place on the bench, while all other starters and substitutes remained the same. The Hereford squad was much changed from their thrashing earlier in the season, and featured former Rovers loanee Richard Rose. During the game Rovers outclassed their opponents, and ran out comfortable winners by three goals to nil. Top scorer Rickie Lambert netted twice in the first half and scored a penalty in the second, giving him a hat-trick. The win was Rovers' first ever at Edgar Street, and their only previous goal there had come in 1977, meaning that Rovers had quadrupled their all-time scoring total at the ground overnight.
