Synopsis
  • Several prisoners are being transported to Blackgate Prison. A man named Morgan "Morgue" Tice tells them a story about how he defeated Batman during a great hesit. This is told through flashbacks that clearly display he is flagrantly lying about the entire thing and actually got his ass kicked during a petty robbery. At the end, when they arrive, he screams in terror at the shadow of a bat passing overhead, and the rest of his inmates laugh at him. Jolene Relazzo is a seismologist working for Wayne Enterprises. She's recording notes in Bristol because Gotham City is overdue for an earthquake... but the data she takes is shocking and horrifying. These readings lead her to believe that there's going to be a tremendous earthquake coming on a biblical scale... the likes of which nobody's seen in years. Placing a call to her superiors, she desperately pleads for them to pick up the phone... the call goes right to the Batcave and there's nobody there.

He did this as to reveal the new crossover entitled Cataclysm.
quotation
  • This is Dr. Relazzo. I know I'm only supposed to call when there's something to report—well, I think this fits the bill. At least, if you count a shifting of tectonic plates on a biblical scale. There's a slow train heading Gotham's way, and when it gets here nobody's safe.
