Simplicity 8146; ©1949; Misses' Blouse and Skirt. The clever manipulation of fabric from the center back seam of the skirt forms a loose panel-like effect. The slim skirt front features two soft folds on either side which give a peg-top accent. Version A shows buttonhole pockets inserted at the sides in pointed sections. This detail may be omitted as in Version B. The shirtwaist blouse can be made full-sleeved with turned-up linked cuffs as in Version A showing a graduated double-breasted closing. Version B is shown with a short cuffed sleeve and one row of buttons has been eliminated to form a diagonal closing.
