Gnips are dog-like enemies that appear in the game Super Paper Mario, that are seen only in Merlee's Mansion, guarding the entrance hall. If the player gets too close to a one, it will capture the player in its mouth and spit them out the front door. They cannot be defeated in any way, but they do not actually harm the player. They have a dark aqua blue color on their bodies, as well as purple spots. They also have sharp teeth and twelve legs on their body, and a small tail. A large, purple Gnip named Gnaw is also seen.
