The Castle in the Sand was a Las Vegas hotel and casino which was built after Moe Greene was killed in the 1950s. The hotel was owned by the Corleone family, but the day-to-day operations were run by their frontman Hal Mitchell. From 1957 to 1959, Fredo Corleone hosted The Fred Corleone Show, which was broadcast from the hotel's louge. The hotel was also regularly visited by Johnny Fontane and was used as a place for important business meetings of Michael Corleone and Tom Hagen.
