abstract
| - The President of the Reich is the Head of State and Government of the New German Reich. The President is elected as the first order of business in each new Reichstag. There is no debate. The President appoints the other Ministers of the Reich. These appointments do not require the approval of the Reichstag. The President is the Chairman of the Reich Government and conducts its business through weekly meetings. The President determines the general principles of governmental policy and is responsible for them to the Reichstag. Within these principles each Minister of the Reich independently carries on the branch of administration entrusted to him, and is himself responsible to the Reichstag. The President can only be dismissed by Vote of No Confidence of the Reichstag for which a qualified majority of votes is required. The President may also be impeached before the Reich Supreme Court (Reichskammergericht) by the Reichstag for having willfully violated the constitution or the laws, again by way of a qualified majority vote. The current President of the New German Reich is Hermann von Salza.
