- The Rubik's Revenge was patented by Péter Sebestény on December 20th 1983. It was orriginally going to be named the Péter Sebestény Cube, until a last minute change was made to attract fans of the original Rubik's Cube.
- The Rubik's revenge is similar to the Rubik's Cube, but is different as it is 4x4 rather than 3x3. This cube does not have a set of fixed faces as there is no stationary centre square. Instead, the centres are called points, and the edges are called wings. It has 56 pieces; 24 points, 24 wings, 8 corners. The Rubik's Revenge was made by Peter Sebesteny, who originally named the cube after himself, but changed it to get Rubik's fans to notice it. The cube originally had a strange color scheme (white opposite blue, yellow opposite green).
