Town conversion is a gameplay feature from Might & Magic: Heroes VI. When a hero takes control of a town from to another faction, the player gets the option of converting the town to one of their own faction, for a small price. While some buildings that can't be converted, will be destroyed, most will be replaced by a similar one for the relevant faction. For example, a Necropolis hero takes control of a Haven town. If the town had a Barracks (for producing Sentinels), it will be replaced by a Graveyard (for producing Skeletons).

While in earlier games in the series, taking over an enemy town often lead to a diverse army with smaller stacks, town conversion means that the player can train more of their faction's units.
