Albert Chancellor (1842-9 November 1911) was an auctioneer and local politician in the Richmond area. He joined the family business of auctioneers, valuers and estate agents in King Street, Richmond (website [1]), eventually becoming the senior partner. He expanded the company and was also involved in other activities in the town including establishing the Richmond Horticultural Club and being secretary of the Industrial and Fine Art Exhibition. He became a member of Richmond Borough Council, serving as Mayor of Richmond on two occasions. He was also a justice of the peace for the county of Surrey and at one time a member of Surrey County Council.
