This particular disc is volume two of a three-album Saja career-spanning compilation. The biggest problem with the Turners’ career was their lack of original material, and when longer anthologies like this one are compiled you get leftover cover songs that are mostly forgettable as a whole. Not surprisingly, the best cuts on this volume are their original compositions including the funky Sit and Hold Your Hand, the sexy Baby - Get It On and When I Lost My Baby featuring some of Tina’s finest howling. In general, it’s usually safer to go with the single disc anthologies when dealing with Ike & Tina Turner, not because of their lack of talent, but again, their lack of true original material.
