The Phoenix Roadrunners were a minor pro team in Phoenix, Arizona. They played in the Pacific Hockey League in the two seasons that the league operated - 1977-78 and 1978-79. In 1977-78 they started out as a team in the Central Hockey League. They withdrew from that league on December 12, 1977, complaining that the league was not helping them secure players. They then joined the Pacific League. They finished in a tie for first place but lost the final to the San Francisco Shamrocks. They again finished first in 1978-79. The league playoffs were cancelled. The league and the Roadrunners folded.
