Anti-Man first appeared when the Tinman landed at the bottom of the ocean. Claiming to be the last of his race and vowing to destroy all humans, he had an intense hatred for land-dwellers. Due to this, Anti-Man did not get off on the right foot with the hero Fatman the Human Flying Saucer when the two first met. However, when Fatman asked Anti-Man to help train Tinman, the aquatic humanoid agreed. Upon the training being complete, Fatman asked Anti-Man to join the team he was forming with Tinman: The Anti-Evil Team! Anti-Man agreed however, his wife, Mrs. Anti-Man, appeared and forced the hero to return home and resume his duties of being a husband and father to their 5000 children (thus revealing Anti-Man's story of being the last of his race to be a lie).
